***UPDATE: CHARITY WALK THIS WEEKEND 11 JULY*** Our t-shirts have arrived, the weather looks good and lock down has eased so we thought it's the perfect time to walk our 29 miles this Saturday...Caitlin and Bailey will be starting off with us (and maybe even cross the finish line) and Darcie and Harper will be joining us around half way. All are welcome to cheer us on or join in for some of our journey!
With Covid-19 still heavily present, we have decided to change our plans to something more local that resonates well with what's happened to Darcie. Instead of our Snowdon walk (which was planned in May to celebrate Darcie and Harper's birthday, and clearly unable to make it anytime soon) we will be walking from Worcester to Birmingham along the canal system.
The Worcester and Birmingham Canal links England's second city to the River Severn. It is 29 miles long, has a total of 58 locks including the 30 Tardebigge Locks, one of the largest lock flights in Europe. The canal climbs 428 feet from Worcester to Birmingham. As Darcie has been cared for in both Worcester and Birmingham hospitals, it makes it a worthwhile journey through the country side to make our charity walk a memorable experience.
"Thank you to everyone who's supported us and donated to our cause"
